Can I watch normal TV on a projector?

If you are incorporating a projector into your normal living room then it is important that it can not only play movies but also work for your everyday TV viewing. The good news is that with the addition of an AV receiver you can use your projector for just about anything.

This means you can watch:

• Sky

• Virgin

• Bluray Players

• Games consoles

• TV sticks like Amazon Fire and Google Home

Using a setup like this creates an entertainment hub based around the AV Receiver and allows just one HDMI cable to run from the receiver to the projector. The beauty of this is that you don’t even have to have all your kit in your living room, it can be in another room or cupboard all hidden away. No more looking at unsightly boxes or wires in your living room.

How do I connect my Sky/Virgin box to my projector?

Connecting your Sky or Virgin box to your projector couldn't be easier.

You will plug the HDMI from your Sky or Virgin box into the HDMI In port on your AV receiver. Then you will run an HDMI cable from the HDMI Out port on your AV Receiver to your projector.

This kind of setup allows you to have various devices connected i.e Sky, DVD, Games consoles etc. At the click of a button on your remote control, your projector will switch between devices just as easy as your TV has traditionally done so.
