The THEATER is a tri-laser ultra-short throw (UST) 4K projector by Formovie. Although you may not be familiar with the brand Formovie, the manufacturers behind the THEATER are far from newcomers. A joint venture between Xiaomi Technology and Appotronics a company that makes the light engines used in some of the world's top laser-based projectors, It is no wonder there has been a buzz around this UST projector.
Being one of the first projectors with Dolby Vision support, the home cinema community have been keen to see how this stacks up against other 4K projectors. In a recent UST Laser TV Showdown hosted by ProjectorCentral this projector came out on top, beating top projectors from LG, Hisense and Samsung which retail at twice the price. This projector scored top marks in colour accuracy, detail, contrast, tone mapping and black levels whilst in HDR mode. Not only that but it was the cheapest of the triple laser projectors tested.
As people look at ways to obtain that big screen experience, UST projectors or laser TVs as they are commonly known, are becoming increasingly popular in UK homes. The Formovie THEATER projector boasts an impressive list of features. Until now, this projector has only been available in the US. What makes the Formovie THEATER special?

This model exceeds expectations with vibrant and bright colours during daylight or even with ambient lights thanks to its 2800 Lumens. Not only is it bright the fact it supports both Dolby Vision & HDR10+ offers full detail in highlights and shadows.
This ultra short throw projector has an impressive list of features. Equipped with Certified Android TV 11.0, Google Play and Chromecast It supports 5000+ APPs, like Disney+,and YouTube, bringing you endless entertainment. The mind-blowing Bower & Wilkins sound system gives you crisp audio that surrounds you as you listen, and the Dolby Atoms surround system heightens the full-cinema experience.
With Formovie, you can adjust the projection size from 80” up to 150” according to the size of your living room. The 8-point keystone correction technology allows you to adjust the projection from the initial irregular shape to a regular rectangle, making your viewing experience more comfortable. There are a wide array of connection options on the reverse of the projector, including 3 HDMI 2.1 ports, 2 USB ports a LAN port and audio output via Optical or 3.5mm Jack.
