Dali’s Phantom M-250 in-wall speaker produces roomfilling DALI sound without compromising on your beautiful decor or valuable living space. These discreetly hidden in-wall speakers offer high quality audio performance with a compact design. The M Series offers a more affordable approach to an in-wall speaker system. Manufactured at Dali’s own factory, the M-250 in particular was designed with multi-channel in mind, suitable for front, center or surround positioning. This speaker will also work in a traditional stereo setup.

WOOFERS

The PHANTOM M-250 utilizes two 5.25 inch wood fibre woofers, which are designed with a quite "flat" cone geometry to increase the cabinet volume. All the individual components in the PHANTOM M drivers are assembled in-house. They work in coherence to reproduce clean, detailed sound, with no colouration or unwanted distortion. Every driver is configured to match the model they are destined for. This is done by optimising the bass drivers for long excursion, and the midrange driver for a large, useful frequency range, so roll-off is handled in the crossover and not in the driver. This same type of optimisation is achieved for the entire range of woofers used in the M series. The woofers make use of our patented SMC technology in the magnet system, which leads to a very low result of hysteresis and therefore minimal distortion.

TWEETER

The oversized 28 mm soft dome tweeter in the PHANTOM M-250 is manufactured in-house and built for maximum dynamics, great power handling and fantastic integration with midrange frequencies. The diaphragm is based on an ultra-lightweight weave fabric. Compared to most soft dome tweeters in the market, the DALI dome material is less than half the weight (0.060 mg per mm2). The relatively large-sized diaphragm lets the tweeter generate a higher sound pressure level with less excursion, keeping the voice coil motion to a minimum. The soft dome tweeter is additionally optimized for a larger bandwidth in its lower frequency area. This ensures the optimal handover from the mid-woofers to the tweeter, creating a well balanced, unforced and very coherent upper midrange.

• WIDE DISPERSION - All speakers by DALI are designed around the principle of wide dispersion. This entails an off-axis optimisation of the audio reproduction. The technology is perfect for use in install speakers, since they are always mounted flush against either a wall or ceiling.
• SLIM CABINET - One of Dali Phantom's goals for the PHANTOM S and M models was to create high-end in-wall speakers with a slim profile that allowed for maximum flexibility when installed. This was achieved by keeping the cabinet depths at only 100-103 mm, which fits into almost any standard wall.
• MAGNETIC GRILLE - The magnetic floating front grille forms the visual presence of the PHANTOM S and M speakers. The discreet, simple, but modern Nordic design is non-intrusive and at the same time pleasing to the eye.
• TRADITIONAL SPEAKER TECHNOLOGIES - The high-end PHANTOM install speakers are packed with traditional speaker virtues. Not only are the wood fiber cones and ultra-lightweight soft dome tweeters mounted in a classic MDF baffle, the placement of the drivers is just similar to Dali Phantom's traditional speakers.
