Creating a Hidden Cinema Experience
When planning their living space, our customer wanted the immersive experience of a large-screen home cinema without having a television dominating the room or obstructing the bay window when not in use. After researching different options, they discovered Pure Theatre's unique halo ceiling concept, featuring a fully concealed projector and screen installation.
Inspired by what they saw online, they arranged a visit to our demonstration room to experience the concept firsthand and explore the possibilities for their own home.

CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS
The customer loved the idea of a large-screen viewing experience but didn't want a television permanently taking centre stage in the room or blocking the bay window. The challenge was to create a space that could function as both a stylish living area and an immersive home cinema. Our halo ceiling solution allowed the projector and screen to disappear completely when not in use, preserving the room's aesthetics while delivering a 104-inch cinema experience whenever required.
During a visit to our demonstration room, we guided the customer through a range of projector, screen and audio options, helping them identify the specification that would provide the best experience within their budget. One of the key discussions centred around audio performance. While many customers initially focus on picture quality, we demonstrated how sound plays an equally important role in creating an immersive experience.
"Chris was extremely helpful and took the time to walk me through the different setups. His knowledge made a real difference when it came to defining the right specification within my budget. The demo was so convincing that I went home, cancelled Sky, switched my setup over to Apple TV, and started investing in Philips Hue lighting myself.

As the project involved bespoke building work, it was important that everyone involved had a clear understanding of the design and technical requirements.
Using the customer's room plans, we created detailed scaled drawings showing speaker locations, cable routes and connection points. These drawings gave the installer everything needed to complete the build accurately and efficiently, while our team remained available throughout the project to provide technical support whenever required.
OUTCOME
The completed room has become much more than a place to watch television. It is a flexible living space that transforms into a true home cinema whenever the family wants to enjoy a film, sporting event or box set.
By concealing the technology within the halo ceiling, the room retains its clean, uncluttered appearance during everyday use. At the touch of a button, however, it becomes a cinematic environment centred around a 104-inch screen and immersive Dolby Atmos surround sound.
The experience made such an impression that the customer went on to enhance other aspects of their home entertainment setup.
What stands out most is not the equipment itself, but the way it has transformed how the room is used. Instead of compromising between interior design and entertainment, the customer now enjoys both.
For this customer, the project delivered exactly what they set out to achieve: a stunning living space that offers all the excitement, immersion and atmosphere of a dedicated cinema without sacrificing the look and feel of the room.
"The end result is genuinely difficult to compare to a TV, and I would have no hesitation in recommending this system to anyone considering a home cinema rather than a traditional television."
